Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This policy explains what information Grow It All collects, why, who it goes to, and the choices you have. Grow It All means the website at growitall.mpdg.net, the app screens on it, and the Grow It All apps for Android and iPhone, which show the same site.
1. Who we are
Grow It All is a product of Madison Planting and Design Group, Inc. (“MPDG”, “we”, “us”), 168 Watford Pkwy Dr, Canton, MS 39046. Grow It All is not a separate company. MPDG operates the service and is responsible for your information. You can reach us at kirk@mpdg.net or (601) 859-5915.
2. The short version
- You can use Grow It All without an account. Your yards then live under a random ID stored in a cookie on your device.
- We store your yard’s place (a city and map point), its settings, and the jobs you mark done, so the calendar fits your yard.
- We don’t sell your information, we don’t use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we don’t send marketing email unless you turn it on.
- Payments go through Stripe (and PayPal, if we offer it at checkout). We never see or store your full card number.
- Advertisers get totals (views and clicks), never who you are.
3. What we collect and why
Yards (with or without an account)
- Yard ID cookie. On your first visit we create a random ID, store it in a cookie named
gia_yard(kept 1 year), and attach your yards to it. It is how the site remembers your yards without an account. - Yard details. These are the yard name, its place (city, state, latitude and longitude), time zone, climate setting, the plants you grow, lawn size, which yard is open, and the jobs you mark done (with the date). New yards start in Madison, Mississippi until you change the place.
- Your location, only if you ask. If you tap “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission. If you allow it, we receive your device’s latitude and longitude once and save it as the yard’s place. Otherwise we only know the city you search for.
Accounts
- When you create an account (needed for Pro, for advertising, and for any purchase) we store your email address, a generated username, your password (stored only as a secure hash), and your name and billing details if you buy something.
- When you sign in, yards from your yard ID cookie move to your account, so they follow you to other devices. Untouched starter yards are not moved.
- For Pro we keep your plan status (Free, trial, or Pro), the trial dates, and which subscription it comes from.
- If you turn on the Monday email (a Pro feature, off unless you turn it on), we store that choice and use your open yard’s place and the forecast to write it. Turn it off any time in My account.
Purchases (WooCommerce)
- For Grow It All Pro, advertising, and anything else you buy, our store (WooCommerce, running on our own server) keeps the order: what you bought, prices, your billing name, email, address, and phone if given, the payment method type, the subscription schedule, renewal orders, and order notes.
- WooCommerce also records where an order came from (for example a search engine, a referring site or campaign tag, and the device type) to show us which pages bring in orders. This stays on our server.
- Payments are processed by Stripe (cards, and Stripe’s Link if you choose it). If PayPal appears at checkout, PayPal processes those payments. They receive your payment details and decide fraud checks under their own privacy policies. We receive only a token, the card brand, and the last four digits, which we use to charge renewals you agreed to.
Shop and sponsored links
- When you tap a store, brand, or sponsored link, we record which link it was, the product or tool, your yard’s name and place (city and state), the time, and a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address. We use this to count clicks, stop click abuse, and bill advertisers fairly.
- When a sponsored item is shown, we add one to a daily view count for that ad. To count unique views and charge at most one paid click per person per ad per day, we keep a short scrambled code made from your IP address and browser type. These codes can’t be turned back into your IP address, and they are deleted after 3 days.
- Views and clicks by site administrators, by advertisers looking at their own ads, and by known bots are not counted.
Advertisers
If you advertise, we keep your campaign details: business name, headline, text, website, phone, city and map point, radius, placement, target item, and any image you upload. We also keep the review notes and the daily view and click totals. Approved ad images and text are shown publicly in the app.
Messages
The Contact form sends your name, email, topic, and message to us by email. We don’t store form messages on the website. To stop spam we briefly keep a scrambled code of your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent each hour.
Technical data
Like every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, and time) for security and troubleshooting. Our host and our backups hold copies of the site data.
The Android and iPhone apps
- The Grow It All apps show this website inside the app. Everything in this policy applies the same way, and the app keeps no separate copy of your yards or account.
- Location. If you allow it, the app passes your phone’s location to this site only when you tap “Use my location”, to set your yard’s place for the calendar, weather, radar, and nearby shops. The app does not collect location in the background. You can turn location off in your phone’s settings at any time.
- Purchases in the Google Play app. Pro bought in the Google Play version of the app is billed by Google Play. Google tells us the purchase token, the plan, its status, renewal and expiry dates, and an order number, and we link the purchase to your account with a random code (not your email). We never receive your card details. Google’s privacy policy applies to the payment.
- No trackers. The apps contain no analytics or advertising SDKs and do not use your phone’s advertising ID. Google Play and Apple may give us aggregate statistics such as installs and crashes.
- Ads in the apps are the same clearly labeled sponsored placements as on the website, served by us without tracking.
- Your sign-in is kept in the app the same way a browser keeps it. Uninstalling the app removes it.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time at growitall.mpdg.net/delete-account/, in the app or in any browser.
4. Cookies and similar storage
gia_yard: your yard ID (1 year). Required for the app to work without an account.gia_intro: remembers that you closed the welcome note (180 days).- WordPress sign-in cookies: keep you signed in.
- WooCommerce cart and session cookies, plus WooCommerce’s order-source cookies (
sbjs_*): run the cart and checkout, and record where an order came from. - Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page to prevent fraud.
We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.
5. Services that receive information
- Open-Meteo (weather forecasts and city search). Our server sends your yard’s latitude and longitude, or the city name you typed. Your IP address is not sent.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim (turning a shared location into a city name). Our server sends the latitude and longitude, only when you use “Use my location”.
- RainViewer (radar images) and OpenStreetMap (map tiles). On the radar map your browser loads images directly from them, so they receive your IP address and the map area you view, as any website you load images from would.
- Google Play (Pro bought in the Android app from Google Play), as described in “The Android and iPhone apps” above.
- Stripe and PayPal (payments), as described above.
- Our web host, which runs our server and sends our email from our own domain.
- When you follow a link to another store or website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Some store links may be affiliate links. The store may learn that you came from Grow It All.
The calendar export (.ics) is a file created when you download it. We don’t keep a copy or a live feed of it. Once you add it to Google, Apple, or Outlook Calendar, that provider’s policy applies.
6. How we use information
We use it to run the app (your calendar, weather, radar, and nearby shops), to provide Pro and take payments and renewals, to send the emails you need or ask for (receipts, trial and renewal reminders, payment problems, account email, and the optional Monday email), to answer messages, to review, run, and report on ads and pay out fairly, to prevent fraud and abuse, to keep records the law requires, and to improve Grow It All.
7. Sharing
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the services above to run Grow It All, when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of MPDG’s business (the new owner would have to follow this policy). Advertisers only receive totals for their own campaigns.
8. How long we keep it
- Yards linked to a yard ID cookie or account: until you delete them or ask us to delete your data. We may remove abandoned starter yards that were never changed.
- Accounts and Pro status: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Orders and payment records: as long as tax, accounting, and legal rules require, even after an account is deleted. We may remove your name and contact details from old orders.
- Click records: as long as needed for advertiser billing and reporting. They contain only a scrambled IP code, not your IP address.
- Daily de-duplication codes for views and clicks: 3 days.
- Server logs and backups: rotated by our host and replaced over time.
9. Your choices and rights
- Change your details, turn the Monday email on or off, and manage or cancel subscriptions in My account.
- Delete a yard in the app, or clear your browser cookies to drop the yard ID on that device.
- Delete your account and its data yourself at Delete your account (sign in first). Subscriptions are cancelled and your yards, Pro status, and ad campaigns are removed.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and yards by writing to kirk@mpdg.net or using the Contact page (topic “Account / delete my data”). We will confirm the request comes from you. Some order records must be kept as described above.
- Location permission can be turned off in your browser or phone settings at any time.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under state law. Contact us and we’ll help.
10. Security
The site runs on HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Payment details stay with Stripe or PayPal. Admin access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
11. Children
Grow It All is meant for adults. Accounts and purchases are for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters to how we use information you already gave us, we will also tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
